Drool Rash

DS has a rash on his face and I'm pretty sure it's from drooling (he's like a faucet). Is anyone else dealing with it? What did you do for it, if anything? Some info, he's 6.5 mo, BF, started solids a few weeks ago, the rash started 2 days ago. It is located around his mouth and down his chin, but doesn't seem to bother him. I haven't added anything to his diet in the last week or so.

Lurker from 12-24 mos here. My son gets this type of rash from time to time, usually when he's teething and drooling a lot. I don't do anything to help clear it up. It clears up on its own and never seems to bother him.

If you've got some lanolin cream, it wil be gone in 24 hours. DS is a chubby baby & I've put it in his rolls where he gets chaffing, or under is neck from drooling so much & it's 100x better

We use a little bit of aquaphor and it clears up right away.

LO's pedi told me to use Aquaphor and it really helped.

Aquaphor, lanolin, or plain old vaseline will keep it protected so it can heal. Just make sure the area is dry before you put it on.

Aquaphor works like a charm for this. It provides a barrier.

My lil man is the same way. I put a little baby powder under his neck, but I will try aquaphor.

Nurse told told us the rash is worst on chest now that solids have started becuse of the digestive enzymes...diaper cream and extra shirt layer seem to help!
