Hey all! It's been quite some time since I last posted... so long that I'm not even 100% sure it was this exact board. My husband and I have always talked about adopting as it's just something we both grew up around. It's normal to us. So, after a few years of seeing an RE and fertility treatments, we've decided to go ahead and persue this path now. We'll continue out the meds we have (two cycles worth), but continue to pursue adoption regardless of our outcome. Our home study should be complete within the next couple of days and then it's on to the rest of the process.
I'm currently needing to do a life book... and I have no idea where to start. I know that I can use snapfish.com or shutterfly.com, and that's my plan. But, other than that, I don't know exactly what to include. Everything I've Googled has been more baby bookish. I don't think that's what they're asking for. What do you include in one of these? I have a large extended family and we are all pretty close, but I imagine including all of that would be overwhelming. I guess I'm just asking for a little bit of guidance or something. Or, if y'all know of a good website with useful information, I'd be more than happy with that! TIA!

Re: Re-Intro/Lifebook Question
It sounds like they want you to do a profile book.
First thing I would do is ask if they have any general guidelines about length or layout. When we adopted, our agency only had us do a 2-page profile book, but then expanded it to 5 pages. We also did a video profile. We had a long list of guidelines, and our agency showed us samples from families already matched to see what had been done.
Google adoption profiles and you'll find a ton. Typical structure is
Dear Expectant Parent(s) letter
About Us (can be long or short, a page for each of you and together, having each of you talk about the other, etc)
Pictures and captions about your daily life, hobbies, home, neighborhood, etc
Pictures and captions about your family
