The day has come, we made it to 24 weeks. Its still so surreal to me that I'm six months pregnant! Yikes it feels great, this is an amazing milestone.
So yesterday I had three appts in one day, I am exhausted! But here is the feedback..
First appt was our cardiologist at 7:45am
- he was able to get a much better look this time around given the uterus is now right above my belly button. He said the VSD is still there, and still measuring the same, but the heart valves are growing balanced and things look good. he did tell me all possibilites and options and said he would recommend PA's children centet is surgery is needed, but he said we look at everything once the baby is here. Follow up in four weeks.
Second appt was MFM
@1pm- nurse was nice, babys positioning as always was tough, but we got her to move around and we were able to see her hands, feet and her spine, she even waived at us! I seen her little lips and nose. Awww my precious baby. The doc came in and said she doesn't see anything abnormal, and she also spoke about getting an amnio done if I wanted b/c some children born with VSD's also can develop Ds. I opted out. We did PGD, and also did the blood test. In addition the misacrriage is 1/100 so nooo thank u. But overall I was pleased with the feedback. And happy to see how big my peanut is getting. Growth appt in 4 weeks.
Last appt was Ob @ 5:15
- this one DH was able to attend, yay. We did the doppler. My BP is still normal. My NEXT visit is in 4 weeks, nov 6 and then after that every two weeks. That's exciting news to hear because then itit's getting close! Have my 1hr glucose test when I go back. Hoping that comes good. They test my urine every time for protein and sugar and nothing so far thank god. I feel good.
In other news, baby shower invites went out and we announced the name.
Nia (Knee-uh) Rose. My goddaughters name is niyah so I had to break it down ao everyone knows there's a differnece.
But I love it. Dh and I are very happy.
Can u ladies think of anything I should be asking at my next appts?
What should DH and I begin to stock up on??
Here is our little peanut as of yesterday.
