ergo original vs. performance

anyone tried both and prefer one to the other?

    We were gifted both. The Performance doesn't have as much padding in the straps, which makes it less comfortable after a while, but it is more compact and breathable in warmer weather. DH prefers it because he sweats easily, especially when wearing our gigantic child.

    Personally, I prefer the Beco Gemini to both. I'm 5'2" and petite - the Ergos overwhelm my frame.

    I LOVE my Ergo performance.  DH uses it too.  DD is so comfortable in it.

    We are both tall and we live in a hot climate.  I find the padding on both shoulders and around hips to be excellent (and, FWIW, I'm a former backpacker so I know what a difference quality and fit make!).  I would highly recommend!
