    I love Emmett! That was on our list along with Elliot. Ellis is not our style, but it's definitely not something I would cringe at.

    I like it! Ellis is my godfather's last name, so it has great connotations for me. I think I slightly prefer it to Emmett, but they're both great. Elliot was on our list for DS2, but DH couldn't stop doing the ET voice every.single.time he said it.

    Ellis is cool. I wanted to name DS Ellison but DH wouldn't go for it. I like Emmett too.

    I like Emmett better or Elliott. Ellis seems feminine to me, but I'll be completely honest that's only because the only time I've heard it as a first name is Ellis Grey fromGrey's Anatomy so take my opinion with a grain of salt. :)

    In general I think I prefer Emmett, but actually think that Ellis flows better with your MN choice.

    I do know an Ellis IRL. He's a 60+ year old doctor (oncologist) and really kind of a cool guy.

    I really like Ellis. I do not find it feminine at all! I prefer it over Emmett-but both are really good names :)

    I think of Ellis island when I hear Ellis. I can't decide if I like it as a first name or not, but I think I do :-)

    This.  I also kinda like the spelling as Emmitt over Emmett, but that's just me :)

    Ellis is my son's middle name, it's my mother's maiden name. I like Emmet too, it's pretty southern sounding to me, but maybe that's b/c I'm from the south.
