1. MIL's visit wasn't so bad. Except for the "WTF am I gonna do with myself" part when she set camp in the family room, everything went smoothly. She is spending the week with her sister and mother (they live 2 hours from here) and she will be back next Sunday to spend some more time with us before she heads back home.
2. I've already started my Christmas shopping. I didn't mean to but I saw cute sunglasses on clearance and figured they'd make great stocking stuffers.
3. For the first time in my life, I put up an ad to sell of the things we don't need anymore. I am now $100 richer and my house feels that much less cluttered. Woohoo!
4. Baby Boy won't roll over. He is 5.5 months old. I am beginning to worry. He did roll from tummy to back very early on, but he hasn't done it in months.
5. I was so freaking excited about my house being clean I had to call my mom. lol.
Farewell, nesticle, you will be missed
Re: Randoms
1. We survived a nearly 4-hour trip to the car dealership this morning. I avoided a total meltdown from DS through the help of a donut, Scooby Doo, a pile of decorative rocks, and the awesome pirate ship playground.
2. DH and I had to postpone the trip we wanted to take over the Christmas break. I was looking forward to it, but I know it will just be easier logistically next year.
3. I keep seeing previews on tv for the next Hobbit movie and I'm rather excited.
DH is not getting enough sleep and is a grumpy ass. Once I'm back to 100% he can STFU and take a damn nap or to to bed early.
DH is going to be gone the next three Friday night - Saturday night with the guys. I'm totally pissed about this. Call me selfish or jealous but I need to get out! (I do not have close friends like DH does)
DD is thankfully a very good baby. She has her fussy moments but who doesn't?
2. We've suddenly received an explosion of invitations to Halloween-related events this month. As much as I love keeping busy and getting out on the weekends, I'm already exhausted at the thought of attending everything.
3. Since finishing all available seasons of Parenthood, I'm now re-watching Gossip Girl on Netflix. So bad, and yet, so good!
