I'm back!

So we got home Saturday from our anniversary trip and it was amazing!! I am finally out from underneath all the post vacation laundry and feeling good.  We hit Oktober fest, Venice and Rome, but were very glad to be home at the end cause we missed "G" like crazy!!  Hope you are well... and I here I go to try and catch up with what has been going on here

Wow, that sounds like an amazing anniversary trip! What did you think of the Oktoberfest? I was a child when I went there for the last time, but DH has been when he lived in Munich in his late 20's and thought it was amazing. :-)

Thanks everyone!! @ricola it was so much fun we really want to take G when he is like 12. We had a great time, the rides are crazy, dh wanted to go on all of them, but after one I was done.

The beer tent was really fun at night, dh used to live in Germany so I got a drindle and we ended up hanging out with a group of Germans all night it was really fun, till I woke and realized how much beer I drank!

How fun! Which tent(s) were you in? We're about 2 hours from Munich and did Oktoberfest this year as well - DS loves the kiddie rides at all the fests. I'm sad that I'm too pregnant to fit into my leiderhosen this year...or enjoy the beer!

Aww sorry that you missed out, but it is still really fun to walk around the atmosphere is isane.  How fun to live so close by and be able to just stop over whenever. My drindle was almost as tight as my wedding dress so I think if I gain a pound or two I wont be able to fit in it anymore either  Where are you living?  Dh's step sisters are in Stuttgart, but we were really bad and didnt make the time to go visit them.  Somewhat because we really needed the quality time to ourselves

We went to the Augustiner, Kafer Weis, and Lowebrau tents over the course of two days we were there- I still can't believe how big the tents are inside.

The tents are crazy! We stuck to the Hippodrom tent this year and had such a great time. I wish I could pull off a dirndl, pregnant or not, but I really, really can't.

We're north of Nuremburg in upper Franconia, but were actually just in Stuttgart this past weekend. So many Americans there!
