A little confused about lab results

We got DH's SA results and my AMH results back over the weekend. A secretary called and let us know and said a Nurse would be calling us today to discuss. But....I am super anxious and Dr. Google is giving me different answers. Anyone care to give their opinion TIA :)?

Count: 120mil

Motility: 80%

Morph: 4%. The secretary said everything looked great but I am reading that 4% morph isn't good, right?

My AMH was 3.87. I have PCOS but I am reading different things online as to whether this is good or bad.

Re: A little confused about lab results

  • I don't have any experience with AMH testing, but your DH's results look good to me! They're very similar to MH's...not sure if IUI is in your future, but post-wash the numbers always get even better for us.

Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015.
RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal.
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur.
ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

  • Your AMH number really varies depending on your age.  That sounds like a fine number for someone my age, 29.  I was able to just ask my doctor point blank if my number was good or not.  Maybe give them a call back and have it explained.  That's better than asking us or googling, go right to the source!

  •  Thanks! We are debating IUI this cycle or just on our own with Clomid and Estradiol.

I am 29 as well. I know I can just ask my RE, I have already left a message for them to call me, I was just impatient and needed some reassurance :)
