@mirnb  I was reading the thread titled "more children" and you had that you were 8 weeks (now 9 weeks I think) pregnant with the next one(s?). Have you found out how many babies you are baking yet?

not yet! first ultrasound at 12 weeks! feeling a bit anxious but odds are its just 1 (my boys were spontaneous fraternal).

That seems so far away! I can't wait that long :P I'm anxious about TTC again in the new year. Mine are spontaneous too and I'm pretty sure they are identical. I will be finding that out within the next week or less.

Will you let us know when you find out??

For sure will keep you posted! I'm 9 weeks on tuesday and I feel like I'm already showing way more then I did with my boys  (enough so that 3 people commented today) but I'm hoping its just because things are already stretched and expanding faster?? or maybe just super bloated? anyways anxious to find out.....i have a dr appt on friday so when he's looking for heartbeat I'm going to make sure he checks thoroughly! With my boys they werent looking so just found one...anyone find out by the dr detecting 2 heartbeats before an ultrasound?

@mirnb My friend is pregnant with her 2nd. Her OB swore she might be carrying twins because she got huge fast. Only 1 baby in there.

My OB couldn't determine the difference between the 2 babies before 20 weeks with the Doppler. Their HRs were very close.

Too bad they didn't give you an early one just to see if its one or more. I know I will be asking for an early one because I need to know.

Just an update...found a heartbeat on friday (yay!) but like you said they wouldn't likely be able to find 2 this early anyways....got a date for an ultrasound Oct 30th and found out I have diastasis recti which is contributing to me looking so big this early!

@mirnb thanks for the update. I can't wait to hear on the 30th! Wish it was earlier :P I think I have that diastasis recti too. I'm going to a physio therapist for my back so I'll be sure to ask about that too. Hopefully I can get everything fixed up before we have another one.

Woot Woot! Baby looking good? How was it until you saw it was just one? If we decide for sure for #3 I'm going to ask for an early u/s and ask right away for them to tell me how many lol. In Canada they don't let you see the screen till the end

Yes I'm in canada too so I had to wait till the end....I honestly wasn't stressed about it....just had a feeling it was one!Baby is looking great, very active....looking forward to experiencing a one baby pregnancy and beyond!

Ah, so you know what it's like. I'm jealous of the Americans when it comes to the u/s. I'm glad baby is looking good! So happy for you to get to experience a singleton. I hope to be that lucky too Love my twins, but I want to know what a singleton pregnancy is like and taking care of 1 baby at a time.
