My girls are 7 weeks, 1 week adjusted. Like most preemies they suffer from reflux. One takes zantac, and I plan to call for a prescription for the other twin. At night we go through the typical witching hours where they're fussy and hard to please. They want to cluster/comfort feed. Of course this becomes too much and they spit up. Also, the reflux gets so bad they're even more uncomfortable and can't go to sleep. I try all the recommendations I can think of such as holding up after feeding, sleeping in RnP, etc. I try to get them to sooth with their gumdrop paci, but they don't want it during these hours. Would a different type of paci help? They're still on the high calorie neosure formula so I think cluster feeding that is probably rough on their tiny tummies. Any ideas or pointers for dealing with crazy reflux during these crazy hours? It is so heartbreaking to watch them suffer. I want to make them comfortable and happy. Thank you for reading my rambling.
ETA, they get probiotics once a day and gripe water throughout the day.
