My 28 seeker now a year is sick

She is very congested with a runny nose...no fever. Do I call the Drs on Monday? Is she still at risk for RSV? This is her first time being sick and im not sure what to think a year out?!?!

Re: My 28 seeker now a year is sick

  • I wouldn't call if she's just having cold symptoms.  Any baby could be at risk for RSV but being one year already, she's likely able to handle it easier than a younger infant.  Check the RSV info post at the top of the page.  If it seems to be more than a cold and/or she's have difficulty breathing, I wouldn't hesitate to call.  Unfortunately at this age common colds are so very common.  My twins have always handled them with no issues (besides a couple ear infections).

((I responded assuming she doesn't have any lingering respiratory issues))

  • She doesn't have resp issues.  Thank you.  Im just stressed bc her twin sisters are home and they were a month early and haven't hit their due date yet.  I dont want all three to get really sick hopefully it just stays a cold and bf will protect her sisters:)

  • Because of your others, I might call tomorrow if she isn't better just to get pedis advice.
