Pressure/soreness after running

I did a 5k this morning. I only maybe jogged a small part of it and mostly walked but I've had this weird pressure/soreness kind of in my groin and inner thighs? Pelvic floor pain? Anyone else get this? Before I got pregnant, I was a big runner but haven't really been doing it much.

Re: Pressure/soreness after running

  • I've walked a5k for the past two weekends and my lower abdomen gets sore and tight during but if I stop moving it seems better. Not sure if it's the same but I've never had terrible pain or spotting with it.

Yeah it's probably the same thing. It's more of a soreness than pain. And it's better when I'm not moving.
  • Walking and running do cause contractions, your ute is probably just bawled up. You are probably okay, but most likely over did it just a bit.

I would drink some water and lay on your left side for a while to rest.

s/n not all contrax are bad, so don't frwak because I typed that. Feel better.

  • I love you guys!!! Go mamas !!! I can't imagine running a lap around the school track let alone a 5k....I'm totally impressed :)
  • I run every day and if I got longer or faster one day then others mine pretty sore the next day. I'd try and go for a walk tomorrow, that helps me with the pain.

This happens to me when I walk a good distance too. I just slow down until it passes.

  • This happens to me as well. I walk a lot and by the end of the day my pelvis is not happy.

  • This happens to me too. I stopped running around Week 15-16 because it was bothering me and I figured it probably wasn't the best thing ever.

Now that I've been walking, yoga and swimming only I've only noticed it on super busy days where I'm just running around all day long.

  • This has started happening to me when I run or on super busy/long walk days. I have cut out most of the runs because I was getting pretty intense contractions. I would drink some water and put your feet up as much as possible. Take it easy the next couple of days.
  • This pain is what made me quit running for now. It may be time to back off. For a few weeks I was running/walking on the treadmill. But even that got too painful.
  • I work standing all day. At the end of every work day with my last pregnancy I had that feeling. They actually sell something that resembles a bra for your belly as it gets bigger at places like destination maternity. You may want to check it out I'm sure it would help with activities like that. It helped me work up until the end of my last pregnancy. Haven't needed it yet for this one!
