I was expecting this and suuuure enough "Do you want to take the girls for Christmas?" The answer is always YES. But Jesus. BM had SDs for Christmas in 2009, Thanksgiving 2010 and then no holidays since...voluntarily. She spends it with her boyfriend who has like 4 kids so its not like she's kid free and the girls would really enjoy a holiday with BFs kids. Whatever, I love love love Christmas (she apparently hates it?) and I love having them here for Christmas but I worry they will be hurt by this in the long run.

Im planning already. I think there are some Christmasy things to do that they would like. The best one is Dec 7th though and they won't be here yet so thats a bummer. I really really really hope we can move up there this spring.

Wow!! I love Christmas too. I'm not sure how old your SD's are but a fun thing I have found is for the kids to make and personalize Christmas ornaments. You can find kits at most craft stores or just wooden cutouts of wreaths, Christmas trees, reindeer and santas.. probably more, But they are generally 50 - 99cents a piece and my kids love them. They can paint them or color on them with markers.

That's awesome. I seriously hate the run around we have to do so Bm and Dh can BOTH have SS for some portion of every flipping holiday. Seriously annoying.
