Back to work Monday

Hey Ladies

 I am on this board a few weeks early, my lil one will be one on the 20th.  I am back to work on Monday and I am feeling overwhelmed, anxious, guilty...nothing good.  I started her at the day home two weeks ago to help with the adjustment she seems to be doing well but I am struggling big time.  Any suggestions

any way you can start slow?  i added on a day each week, first just friday, then thursday & friday, etc.  it sucks no matter when.  i work at a school so at the end of the summer i had to feel it all over again

Going back to work is super hard but it will be ok.  I went back when DD was 6 months old.  You are so lucky you got a year off with your LO.  Anyway, my DD is super happy and well-adjusted.  Your LO will adjust fine and so will you.  Come visit the working moms board.  The ladies there are all very supportive.

I've been at home with my son for most of the first year too. I take online classes and work from home so I've been lucky enough to get extra time with him.

But, now I have to take some classes on campus and concentrate on my work more. So, he's going to start full-time daycare this week. I'm trying very hard to focus on the positives and get excited for the change. I am going to let myself cry in the car after I drop him off, but after that I will buy myself a white chocolate latte and enjoy my freedom!

NO Mommy Guilt Allowed!!! You are doing the right thing and have no reason to feel bad.
