My son is Maximus (goes by Max). I'm pretty set on a girl name (Pearl) but I am all over the place with boys!! Would love your suggestions! I like names that are old-fashioned, not heard every day but classic spellings, and not afraid of a bit of European flair!! A few we like are Alex, Nico, Sebastian. Thanks Ladies! Pearl is lovely!

I like a shorter name with Max-- so my fave on your list is Alex.  Have you considered Alec?  It seems more complete to me than Alex, which feel really nick namey.
