Can your child eat independently with a fork and a spoon? Like, can you put a plate of penne or yogurt in front of them, and they just do it, or do you have to help them pierce food or scoop any liquid?

Alyssa can use a spoon/fork. Sometimes meals get messy though. Sometimes she gives up and just eats with her hands.

Lulu has been using a spoon and fork since before she was a year old, but she has always been advanced in all things fine motor.  She's pretty good and usually prefers it, though she also eats with her fingers sometimes.

Madison eats every meal with a spoon or fork, and she's really good at it.

Yes, he can. He's pretty good at it, but sometimes when it gets toward the end of the dish he starts using his fingers, which can get messy.
