Today, I am pretty sure the dryer almost caught on fire. ?I had a load of towels in there...added a robe and gown to it...walked away...and about 10 seconds later smelled a horrible smell. ?I went and turned it off, took the lint part out, took the clothes out, put them in a basket, and sat them out on the patio.
Luckily there were no flames or smoke inside or out by the dryer vent...but now, our entire house smells like we lit a charcoal grill inside and let it burn for a while!
I've Febreezed; I've lit candles; and I've got a big bowl of vinegar sitting in the laundry room. ?The repair guy is coming in the morning to check out the dryer. ?
?Any suggestions for the smell??
Re: Help me get rid of this smell!!!
Yeah, no idea on that one. Other than like Ozium spray, which you probably don't have on hand. Maybe you had a burned out belt or something - that always smells AWFUL.
Glad you were home and no real fires happened though! Yikes!
Get a subway bread maker and start making bread.
Maybe two negatives will make a positive.
(I'm sorry that this was not a real answer.)
This always works for me whenever there is a bad smell that won't go away
