I HATE MFI!!!!

Well we went back to see our urologist 3.5 months after BF had his grade 2 varicocele repaired. Prior to surgery his count was 0.2 million with 25% motility now after surgery his counts are (brace yourself) 0.05 with zero motility! We are devastated! It hurt so bad when the doc told us there is no chance of natural conception and that we are wasting valuable time trying on our own. I am 35 and in May I had some blood work that basically said my ovarian reserve is no longer in the excellent category! It's not terrible either but it's just proof that things are on a downward slope! The doc told me to see a infertility specialist in our area at CNY fertility. I know there is a 3 month waiting list and I haven't made a appt yet. IVF turns me off, seems like sooooo much work and money just for a chance! Plus it really really irritates me that we just can't do things the easy way! It's just not fair! We were holding out hoping surgery would be key but apparently it's not! The urologist will do another SA in January but said not to be hopeful! Today is a sad sad day!

I almost forgot that the doc also mentioned donor sperm. I am so torn and BF is not hearing it. Ugh

So we also have severe mfi. Hubs had varicocele repair and remained same w slightly better motility- but 100% IVF is only hope. I am so sorry. Worst part is how everyone worries about guy- but it affects us just as much bc we could have children just fine!!! My hubs is totally against donor sperm too- so yeah that hurts and he even told me if it came down to it he would not have adopted. I signed in for kids so that broke my heart. We did IVF and yes there are a ton of risks. We got 7 beautiful blastocysts. First transfer 2 eggs and ended ectopic. Second I was so stressed and emotionally I think I failed it- 2 more embies gone. Third round 2 more eggs and both room, but lost one and we have dd and one egg left and are just now starting a FET journey on that one. So maybe (praying) two children out of 7 great embies. Not to mention money and time! It is scary, but if you can do it- totally worth it. I'm here if you have any questions, would love to help if I can! Let me know
