moving with 1.5 year olds

Anyone have any experience or advice for moving 18+ hours away? TIA

Oh, yes please I would be interested in your story as well! We will be moving from Georgia to Washington (about 3,000 miles!) sometime in the first few months of our twins lives. I'm sure with 15 month olds it's a different story in a lot of ways, but I would still be interested to know how it worked out for you! Clearly you are still alive since you posted, so that at least gives me some hope...

I moved 1200 miles when my babies were 9 months. DH and I flew with them, then I stayed with my cousins inlaws while DH went back to pack, drive car up etc, I think it was 4 days total that I was alone with the boys. My best advice is to have somewhere to stay and/or help while the actual move is going on. I only came to the house later in the day after the movers had gotten there and dropped our stuff. Then once we got there the very first thing we did was set up their room so that they were settled. Then we focused on unpacking and getting everything else done. It wasn't easy but it was doable. Sorry took me so long. We moved from SC to CA when trio was 15 month. We made sure to get out of the car every few hours and still stick to there schedule so they ate at same times and went to bed at same time. We had DVDs for them in the car. We had pre booked all our hotels and took our pack and plays and all the things in there beds from home. They did great with it. We were in 2 cars I had our oldest in my hubby's car and he had the trio and uhaul on my car. When we arrived in CA we stayed with family for 4 months then when we moved in to our house DH watched the kids at his parents and my brother and I unpacked most of the house in a day then he spent a day here when I had kids and did more unpacking we moved in 3 days after got keys.
