Well, at my last appointment my doctor decided that it's getting to the point that the twins need to arrive.
They will be delivered next week at 35weeks. We are delivering early due to high blood pressure they can't regulate with medication, headaches, dizziness and hard time breathing. I've been on bed rest for 4 weeks and it hasn't helped any of these symptoms.
At my last MFM appointment at 32 weeks (I'm 34 weeks tomorrow) the girls were measuring at 5lbs and 5lbs4oz. I had been in L&D due to my complications that week as well and received my steroid shots to help develop their lungs.
Needless to say I'm excited and scared all at the same time. My doctor has assured me that at 35 weeks the girls will be okay to be delivered - they might need a short stay in the NICU to until they can regulate temperature and/or gain weight.
I guess my question is - has anybody delivered at 35 weeks? What was your experience - did your twins require NICU time, and if so how much? Are they doing okay now?
I'm sure this question has been asked one million times - so I apologize - I'm just having a bit of a freak out moment.

Congrats!
I'm feeling a bit guilty for not making it further b/c my body can't handle it - it's not the girls - it's me. The doctor assures me I have no reason to feel guilty about 35 weeks...I just can't help it!
At my hospital if the babies are born after 35w they don't have to go to the NICU, only if necessary. Sorry my experience isn't twins but I hope that helps!
