I need my 2 y/o to back off me a little

he has been glued to me all day-- every time I move, I bump into him because that's how close he is to me. ?Ugh. ?I just need a little space, KWIM???

Re: I need my 2 y/o to back off me a little

  • i feel your pain....i don't think that they are ever more than 10 feet away from me.
  • YES!!! I agree 100%. ?I am completely incapable of dealing with him. ?I am counting the minutes until the gym childcare area is open again so we can go to the gym and I can get 45 minutes ALONE.

I feel badly b/c I know he doens't like it and he asked not to go today, but I told him "mommy hasn't worked out for 2.5 years because you wouldn't go to the gym play room; it's time. ?I'm sorry, but you're going to have to deal."

Then I felt like crap. ?but we're going. ?

LOL!! ?I love how you reason with him! ?We also took advantage of the gym playroom today. ?Mine is open from 8-1 and then again at 4:30, but really, I'd like to go between 1 and 4:30, you know??

  • exactly! Ours is closed from 1-3:30 and it annoys the crap out of me. ?By the time I can work out in the afternoon, it's already time to start thinking about dinner, so I only get 45 minutes in before I have to head home, shower and start dinner. ?grrrr. ?
  • totally! ?I have never made it there before 10 and by that time, I only have 30-40 minutes before I have to rush home for lunch and nap. ?2:30 would be perfect for me-- give me just the rush I need to deal with this last hour or so before MH shows up.
  • awwww, I wish my mister independence was more needy, but I can see how stressful that must be to have him all up in your space.  Not to mention dangerous for him.  I have knocked ethan down accidently a few times too.

  • I am glad I am not the only one!  I feel like she is velcroed to me.  She would not let me put her down to play soccer with DH yesterday.  I had to play with her strapped on my back.
