DS is late to the game of "let's roll to my tummy and scream at 3am". I'm not even sure why he always acts like he's stuck on his tummy. We've seen him roll.... Not often... But a few times. We're convinced he's going straight to walking. He hates being on his tummy, and makes no attempt towards crawling. He loves standing, and taking steps when you hold his hands. Not much point to this post except to say my DS is just silly.

Similar, I read something a little while ago that it's getting more common since the whole "back is best" campaign that baby's are skipping crawling. I don't know if LO is going to skip it as much as it'll just be a brief transition. Apparently I wasn't much of a crawler. I was informed I just rolled all around the room until I started walking.

Mine does that when she's looking for me and I am not there. We cosleep. She will roll sometimes while she is nursing if she is really tired and start crying because she didn't mean to roll. She is just tired and wasn't thinking clearly.

Mine is almost 7 months and is not crawling or showing signs of being interested in crawling either. She just rolls. I was going to ask the dr about it tomorrow.

Well, last night he was sleeping on his tummy. And then later, on his back. So he can roll both ways. Yet he still screams bloody murder when I put him on his tummy when he's awake. Oh child....

I think its too early to Judge an interest in crawling... DS1 crawled around 9 or 10 months and was fully walking by 13 months.

DD is fine on her tummy during the day, and seems to be close to crawling, but at night she often rolls on her tummy and screams about it. She sleeps on her side most of the time, and even her tummy sometimes, so I don't get it.
