New to Buffalo- Plus Size and Pregnant

Hello all!

I am new to the board, and am starting off with a touchy subject. My husband and I just relocated to Buffalo and I just found out I'm pregnant. I don't have a OBGYN and was wondering if there were any other plus size moms-to-be that have a good recommendation for a good OB? I had planned on losing weight before becoming pregnant but unfortunately that didn't happen before we got this surprise. I know some OBGYNs won't take plus size pregnant patients so I wanted to see if anyone in a similar situation had a positive experience to share. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the area and please let me know if you do find a good dr in the area.  As a plus-sized woman looking to conceive i'm hoping to find an accepting and friendly dr in the Buffalo area.

I never knew being plus sized was a reason a practice wouldn't take you - that's terrible! While I am not plus size, I'm happy to throw out a recommendation for OB/GYN Associates of WNY. They have two locations and have provided me with excellent care. Welcome to the area

I did! Prior to getting the recommendation from jennynicole, I had made an appointment with OB/GYN of Western New York. So far, it has been a great experience. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone in need of an OB.

I am in the Rochester area, I didn't even think to ask when I was looking for a dr., thought I am plus size as well.  I met the dr. that I will be using and he didn't bring anything up.  I'm glad you found someone!  When are you due?

I see Dr Santos of obgyn associates as well. For my daughter and now for my son. Love them. I'm 28th. Weeks. Welcome to the area. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!
