Formula fed 5 month old suddenly refusing bottles- ideas?

My 5 month old son was sick with a viral bug about 2 weeks ago, was listless, refusing bottles, vomiting and had a low-grade fever. His listlessness and fever went away pretty quickly but since that time he has been largely refusing to take his bottles throughout the day. We can usually get him to eat before bed time with some difficulty and he will wake one or twice in the night to eat, but during the day it is a struggle to say the least! He had been doing 5 6 ounce bottles a day before this with only rare night time feedings. I think he was constipated for a while as he had some excessively firm BMs on Sunday morning, so I thought maybe he was just backed up and not hungry because of that. He's STILL refusing to eat much though, and now he seems to pooping more than normal; not quite diarrhea but looser than usual. AAAAAH!!! We've already had him in to the doc twice and they say he checks out fine and that he doesn't seem sick or dehydrated. I still can't help worrying about what's going on with him. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get him to eat?
