ear tube removal surgery

dd has her follow up with her ENT tomorrow. it is now 2 years since she had the tubes in. if the tubes are still there are they going to want to take them out at this point? how exactly does that go? anyone have any experience with this?

My DD had hers out a few months ago after over 3 years.  It was no big deal at all.  They put her under, pop it out and then put a little paper over it to protect it while it heals.  At the 1 month follow up, paper was still there and we went back a few weeks later and paper was gone and hole was totally healed up.  DD had no pain after and was totally back to normal a few hours after surgery.
