How many LO's do you have and want?

This is our first, so of course we'll see how it goes health-wise and whatnot, but we're in it for at least five and expecting to adopt at some point.

This is baby number six for us. We both have wanted a large family and my Dh comes from a family of six kids. We also have talked about adoption and may revisit that plan when our first get's closer to going to college. I'd love to foster to adopt but we'll just have to see how everything goes. It's not easy going on family outings when you spend most of your time doing a head count of everyone but I look forward to big get-together's in the future and love watching them form great relationships with each other.

I don't want us to make such a big decision while I'm still pregnant. I said I was done with 2 and when my baby was 15 months I wanted another . I'm thankful I didn't make a long term decision.

This will be out first child and I plan to see how this goes. Afterwards we will think about maybe a second child. I am 32 and use to getting up and going all the time. So this will be a big adjustment but a blessing for me and my husband.

I always said I'd have as many until I got one of each but now I think I'm just going to take it one kid at a time

We have 1 (a son)....so this is number 2 for us.  He wants 3 and I want 4.  Not sure yet where we'll land.  If we end up having 3 boys in a row - I think he'll want to try for a daughter for #4.  Eh, we'll see.

This is my third and likely our last.  We originally wanted 5, but it's not really feasible. In order to give them the life they deserve and eventually have an empty nest we've decided that 3 is our number. I am really hoping to find some closure with this pregnancy and feel that our family is 100% complete.

I do not want to do anything permanent for myself, personally I find getting by tubes tied/snipped, etc. to be too invasive.  If my husband wants to get the snip-snip I'd be fine with that.

This is #3. Our minimum is 4, our max is 6. If I have to have another c/s (I VBACed with #2), we will probably be limited to 4. DH is dead set about not getting a vasectomy, but we'll see... The lack of sleep we've had with our 8 m/o might change his mind.

This will be babies 3 and 4, we are done! We thought we were done w 2, but oops I will be getting a tubal ligation when the babies are born...although...if its two more boys, I am playing with the though of keeping the shop open just in case we want to try again for a girl, but everytime I say that the DH freaks out and says he will get snipped

This is our second and last. I really don't think you can make the decision until after you've been there. It's one of those things where when you know you know!
I'm also 100% fine with this being a boy or girl. I have no desire to keep trying to get a gender I want. If I get two boys then I have two boys one of each would also be nice I'm happy either way!

I'm going for a VBAC but if I have to have a C-section I might consider getting my tubes tied otherwise the hubs is getting snipped!

@thomas930 we also want somewhere around 4 biological and 2 adopted, but this is only our first so we will take it one at a time and see where we end up. (I would love even more adopted children, but as of now, DH has agreed on 2.)
We would also love to foster one day, maybe when ours are older. I work a lot with orphanages in developing countries and foster care programs in the US and it is my dream to have a big blended family with lots of love from all over.

We've always wanted to have at least two and adopt at least two. How we'll pay for all those kids is anyone's guess, but we want a big family. Four to five, max. We've already talked about visectomy, and once we've adopted our kids and have as many as we want Hubby is totally getting snipped. We haven't really discussed the timing, but I think it makes spence to wait until we know if we can adopt and get our kids to do dinething permanent. He was the one who brought it up. He did a ton of research on birth control before we got married and decided he didn't want me to be on hormones any longer than I had to be. Lots of his guy friends have made similar decisions, so it's not a big deal decision for us, he just feels it's practical.

I used to want 4, but after this one (#2) gets here I think we might be done.  I have 3 siblings and think our family get togethers are awesome because they're so many of us, but on the other hand we want to travel a lot and find that travelling and being able to afford said travel after 2 kids might be hard.  Also, I don't want to pregnant again.  So I think if we go for another, we'll be adopting.  It's something DH and I had discussed before having kids and we both feel adopting might be something we would want to do.

I've always wanted three kids, but it's been a rough go at getting to baby number 2. We have a healthy 5 year old and if God has plans for a third one for us, then I'm game:).

I have one...I would honestly like another LO so this one won't be alone like my daughter (she is 13). I have a fibroid at the bottom of my uterus that's doubling in size every 4 weeks so I may end up having a CS and hysterectomy in April.

This is our first, and we want 2 or 3 (DH wants 2, I'm undecided). When we're done, we probably won't do anything since we don't really have intercourse outside of TTC. If DH is so inclined, he could get snipped, but I don't think we really need to!

We have an almost 3 year old DD, and 2 losses. I'm thinking we are done with this one, DH would like 1 more after this. We aren't making any permanent choices for a year after this baby is born. Especially since I was originally 1 and done after DD and changed my mind.

Same position for me.  I originally wanted 4 kids but being that I will be a month from 36 when I have this LO (my first), I'll be really lucky if we have 3.  I hope things all go well to at least have 2.

We initially decided 3 was the magic number. This will be my second (first from a previous marriage) & his first. We may just be content with these two,we shall see

Its funny ladies how you easily forget the horrible parts of pregnancy. I couldnt wait to get pregnant again. I kept saying how much I loved to be pregnant. hahahahahaha... how soon we forget the horrible 1st Tri! LOL

I was the same! My DS just turned 14 months & I'm 10w1d with my second. I had massive baby fever but yet I seemed to have forgotten the dreaded first trimester, tired tired tired! Lol

This is our third and last. We had originally planned on 2-3, then when my son was diagnosed at 3 (DD was around 16 months old) with type 1 diabetes, we said nope no more. Well, years have passed... 4 to be exact, since then and the diabetes has become a part of our lives. It sucks, but it's our "normal" now.. We decided we wanted one more, so here we are!
