We bought Connor a new convertible seat a couple weeks ago. The cashier @ Babies R Us said "He will just love being able to see in front of him now." I informed her he would most certainly not be "able to see in front of him." It seriously annoyed me she works at a baby store and doesn't know this.
I just feel that this is common sense though. Way back when I was 20 and had Ds, I knew enough to know that a baby at 7months shouldn't be FF. That was 13 years ago. Even if I didn't know, I'm sure there's SOMEONE in my life that would have informed me.
Idk, I'm a teen and I probably wouldn't know anything about this stuff without you guys. Luckily I don't have babies. But. Maybe they don't have smart people in their lives? I mean, it is Teen Mom, they probably deliberately have them do stupid crap.

That's how I feel too. I was young with my first and still enough car seat safety was a big deal. The instruction manual and on the side of most seat says to rear face to a year. I know mine does now and it did 11 years ago too. I also remember getting info at the hospital about car seat safety. They are just not taking the ten minutes to read things.
