Hormones and Acne!

To add insult to injury in all of this, I've developed horrible acne. I've never had anything like this.
Even as a teenager I rarely had breakouts and they were nothing like this.
I'm assuming that it has something to do with the hormones, as when I first got pregnant I started getting breakouts, but not this bad.
Does anybody else have this problem.

I had to look this one up when it happened to me. I could not find much in the medical literature, but plenty of stories from women. Looking in the mirror was a horrible reminder each time of what my body was going through. Put that together with not being able yet to have sex with DH as process wasn't done, and I was pretty dang miserable and felt super unattractive! Fortunately it was short lived and my skin returned to normal after a week or so. At least the hormones then actually behaved and AF arrived on time 4 weeks after stopping bleeding. Hopefully you will feel and look better soon, but it's rough...peace to you...and just remember that you are still beautiful!

I am having the same problem. Giant, gross pimples.

I'm on board with the horrible break outs.  My dr said it's hormonal.

It's really unsettling.

I mean, obviously we have bigger problems than having a few pimples, but with everything that's going on in our lives it'd be nice to look in the mirror and still feel pretty. But between the constant bloating and discomfort, the bleeding and having to forgo sex, and now the breakouts, it really is taking an even bigger emotional toll.

A constant reminder that my body is going through all this trouble and I'm not going to have anything to show for it when I'm done.

I get HORRIBLE hormonal acne...that is how I knew I was pregnant to begin with. I get these huge, deep, and painful cyst like pimples. I "started" my miscarriage on 8/19 with misprostol and just had a D&C on 9/24 to remove some remaining tissue and finally got a negative pregnancg test on Friday 9/27. Thankfully my face is starting to clear up. I agree that we have much bigger issues to deal with, but really? I had to have a miscarriage AND now I'm fat and look horrible? All I can say is, it will clear up and my proactive is helping a little.
