When to stop burping?

We used to burp DD after every ounce. Then she really wouldn't do it until half way through her bottle. Now I am noticing that she won't burp at all during a feeding. I keep trying and usually she does it on her own before I can get her over my shoulder or she just doesn't do it at all. Does this mean she no longer needs to be burped? I know there comes a point where their digestive system can handle it, but didn't think it would be before 3 months.

I think DD1 was older...like 6mos or more when I stopped at least trying after her bottles...but that was 6yrs ago so I dont really recall.  DD2 I kind of judge how shes eating...I have been letting her take 2oz before trying unless I get cues from her otherwise or if she seems to be gulping too much then I slow her down...else we get volcano action later.
