Last week Updates:

Congratulations to CurlingRocks who gave birth to a healthy and full term baby girl!

ShannonSky: found out she was having triplets, but one of them had low heart rate; she later announced that she lost one of her babies who had the low heart rate so she is now expecting twins; still very optimistic about healthy pregnancy since she was able to do it with her second. We are all praying and sending positive vibes for the rest of your pregnancy to be uneventful and full term!

hjweber: admitted and on medication for shortened cervix and funneling, but not feeling any contractions; went home later in the week and US showed no more cervical shortening and funneling was not as pronounced; continues to take Procardia and now on bed rest at home. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers that LO stays put for much longer!

alphaphi98: 18 weeks pregnant and just found out they are having a boy! Still debating whether or not to take P17 shots-doc is not too concerned about going early again with this pregnancy

PhillyGal34: Was not going to TTC for another 9 months, but she and DH are having baby fever! Wouldn't mind waiting another year for $$ reasons and also trying to lose weight and get healthy before TTC journey

airsica: currently 29w4d and has surpassed previous gestational period of when she had her twin daughters! Officially on extended maternity leave and creating a new nursery with a Dr. Seuss theme for her little guy!

***I would just like to add that it would be nice to hear from everyone on a more consistent basis even if there is no news to share. We would all love to hear that everyone is doing well! So, just for fun, I am adding a QOTW***

QOTW: What is your favorite TV show that you absolutely cannot miss?

Re: Pregnant & TTC After a Preemie Check In 9/27/13

  • My little bean continues to cook.  I'm almost 28 wks & feel like maybe (just maybe) I can stop holding my breath.  Looking forward to hitting the 30 wk milestone.  Then, I'll be aiming for 34 wks.

  • I think we are thinking about starting to TTC early next year. We have 12 month old twins (tomorrow :'( they are growing too quick) that arrived early due too Pre-E with HELLP and I think there was some IUGR. I think I'm going to seek out a high risk doc to talk to about a future pregnancy and the risks to expect. I'm really sad that my MW dreams have been crushed now that I'd be likely labeled HR. I'm hoping that we can have a FT baby next time!! So nervous.

  • @vsalt31 That's great to hear! Stay in LO and we will continue to keep you in our T&P's

@megs2011 Welcome to the group! I will add you to the list. I understand your concerns, but I hope that an MFM will give you comfort and look at you more closely to better chances of having full term pregnancy.

My favorite shows are Grey's Anatomy and Glee, but missed the series premieres of both due just from being so busy with LO. So if anyone can fill me in, that would be great! :-)

  • 23 Weeks and everything is so far so good! Blood pressure is stable and other labs are normal. U/S with MFM tomorrow morning to recheck uterine arteries and fetal growth.

Every once in a while I really think I *could* go full term. It's going to be a long 3.5 months of this mental game.

I love and can't miss Parenthood and Project Runway.

  • Just hanging in here. I've decided my goal is April 7th - that puts us at 36 weeks and I can reasonably expect the twins to come home with no NICU time. And I'm also very grateful they'll be born in the spring instead of my fall preemie baby - less worry about cold and flu stuff.

  • Hi, I know I haven't stopped in in a while. This has been a roller coaster week. We found out that LO is a boy. However, at our ultrasound, they weren't able to get good pictures, but they are concerned about the size of the ventricles in his brain. So now we wait a week and go back. I've been a wreck. I know if they are enlarged, there is a good chance I'll have to have a RCS done before 38w, and we will have NICU time, and probably surgery. Everyone was so hopeful this time that I would carry to term, have a natural VBAC and no NICU seperation. I just feel like everything has come crashing down. I've been battling HG this pregnancy, with hospitalizations, zofran pump, and a PICC line for fluids. That was just starting to improve, and there was a hope that I would have a normal, uneventful rest of the pregnancy. And now this bomb is dropped on us.
