Ear Tubes

My LO has been plagued with ear infections and constant fluid in his ears. He pretty much has had a right ear infection since mid-August we have never made it to the follow up appt without the infection coming back so we received the ENT referral.  LO is scheduled to undergo tube surgery on Oct. 3rd. I am a little nervous about the procedure...anyone with any experience with this?  LO is 14mos today.
