First period post-miscarriage (AW-ing my uterus)

edited September 2013 in TTC after 35
Well, AF has arrived, exactly 27 days after I first started passing clots and progressed into my miscarriage at 7 weeks. I have to say, I feel strangely proud of my body for getting right back on the horse as quickly as it did. My period returned like clockwork after my D&C (before I had my son), but I attributed that to the D&C itself, clearing everything out. I had no idea what to expect with a natural miscarriage, but it seems like my body is following the same protocol once again.

Even though the miscarriage sucks and my period reminds me of not being pregnant, I'm still grateful for the ol' uterus' resilience. A little self-love for the old bones today.

Hoping everyone else is doing well--happy Friday!!!

Glad to hear AF came right on time. Sometimes your cycle can be way off for the first few months post MC. I'm glad you have some normalcy. I know for me waiting for my cycle to be normal again was hard.

I know what you mean OP-after my m/c in May at 10 weeks (natural) I got my period back right on schedule. Although at the time, I felt like I bled for a month : (

I felt like, even though I'm 'old' lol reproductively, I still got it haha and with a regular cycle, still have a chance at ttc.

I know it is a relief to get that first period back.... even though your period is back that doesn't mean your ovulation will happen or be on schedule... My first one back after a loss I didn't O until CD20 ( I usually O CD12)... I would temp or use OPKS so you know when to TTC- good luck!
