Hi. My name is Katie. Iam 12 weeks into my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy was normal and I have a healthy 2.5 year old boy. I had my NT scan today and the measurement was between 3.5 and 3.8. I am obviously worried. My husband and I elected to do a CVS right away and we are awaiting results. Oh and I do have a question. I know that there is a miscarriage risk with the CVS. How long after the procedure do the miscarriage symptoms start. I luckily only have a small amount of cramping and no bleeding but I was just curious when I would be considered in the clear.

I'll have the cvs in a few weeks. I would imagine if the pregnancy were corrupted or damaged in some way, the results would be immediate? I'll keep fingers crossed this is needless worry, though.

Update: I got my preliminary results today. Chromosomes 21, 13, and 18 were normal! And it's a boy! Still no spotting or cramping so I am one happy camper.
