Talk to me about periods and milk supply

Here's the background: I got mastitis (AGAIN!) on Monday. I'm taking the antibiotics, and feeling much better. The infected breast has seen a significant decrease in supply (as expected), but I'm also seeing a significant decrease in supply in the other breast too. We're talking going from 6 oz a session to 2 in one breast, and from 6 oz to 3 to 4 in the uninfected one. I have plenty of freezer stash to get DS through his first 12 months on only BM even if I keep producing at this level, but I've read about other's seeing a drop in supply around the time of their period. Does it drop this much? TIA!
