Do you wear lipstick? If so, do you have a rec for a colorstay kind that won't dry out my lips?

I've recently started wearing actual lipstick more often, I used to only wear gloss, and I need new stuff.  I'd prefer to get something from a counter so I can try colors first but I would love some recommendations for brands.

I hate, hate, hate the feeling of lipstick.  If anything, I use chapstick or vaseline.

I use Burts Bees tinted lip balm and love it. For some reason, I'm afraid of real lipstick and think I look stupid wearing it.

I will put on lipstick if we are going out somewhere I'm dressed up.  I usually end up wiping it off though b/c I think I look like a clown.  I usually just do tinted gloss.  I've gotten some lip stain stuff from CVS before and it dried my lips out and would.not.come.off.

On fancy occassions I'll sometimes wear lipstick

Otherwise I prefer tinted lip balm or maybe gloss.

I had a color stay lipstick by Loreal (Maybe the infallible one?) that had two parts...you put the lip stick on and let it dry and then the top coat is a moisturizing balm that gives it a bit of shine too... I was content with that one... but to be honest I haven't tried a whole lot of them.

Pretty much daily I use Maybelline super stay 24 hr color.  It comes with a chapstick like gloss on the other end of the tube.  I usually put  on the lipstick, wait for it to dry, then add my regular chapstick as needed.

That's me.  The only thing with color that I ever use is Fresh Sugar lip balm.  I'm still using a sample size one because holy shit expensive.

Same here.  I love it but I'm holding out with my free sample!

Every day. Although right now I prefer Sugar tinted balm. It's really tinted, so it looks like lipstick. But it's moisturizing too. Not very long lasting though.

I don't like lipstick and I can't ever find one that stays AND doesn't dry out my lips.  I feel funny wearing it, too.  I like a little color, but I don't want it to be too obvious.  I've been trying to find a stain that stays and I've been using this one for a while now and am pretty happy with it: https://www.sephora.com/magic-marker-lip-cheek-stain-P261001. It doesn't stay on forever and ever, but it leaves a nice hint of color if that is all you are going for.  It doesn't dry out my lips at all.

Honestly if in your budget MAC are the best IMO. Plus they have counters so you can try on. 15 bucks a tube tho but good quality and smell like vanilla.

I'd rather spend $15 once on something that I have tried on and love than $8 on something hit or miss then another $8 if it doesn't work out.  

I've never been much of a lip color person but lately I feel like it makes me look so much more put together (even when I'm not).  It makes me feel fancy.
