I am 27 weeks pregnant with mono/di twin boys. I will also be a FTM and have had some complications along the way and have been on modified bed rest since week 18. I have finally run out of things to keep me busy during this time and I feel like my time without children is getting shorter so I am looking for some support so I don't feel so alone doing time on the couch.

  • Hi, welcome. Join us. It is a greet group. I wi be 27 weeks on Saturday with di/di boys. Although I have not been out on bedrest, my cervix is shortening, and I too fear that the boys will be here sooner than later. I hope we both have longer than we think!

Do you have names picked out yet?

D & L are here at 34 weeks 4 days by vaginal and breech delivery on 11/19/2013
Two healthy boys weighing 4 lbs 15 ozs and 4 lbs 5 ozs.  Only 6 days in the NICU and getting bigger, stronger and cuter every day!

  • Welcome! And congrats :) I'm also 27 weeks with Di/Di boys. I have been back an forth between hospital bed rest and strict home rest for dilation and short cervix since week 19. Although I do have a 3 1/2 year old boy who keeps me entertained. It does get very boring though. I have been crocheting things like hat and ID bracelets for the boys and sewing curtains and things like a quilt. I also got stuff to make Christmas presents so I have been making those layer mason jars for cookies and hot cocoa and packaging them up so once the boys are here I don't have to do much for family presents. I also got a jump on Christmas cards. Freezer meals too. My husband did the shopping for them I sat at the table and made them so no cooking after they are born :) crafting things off my Pinterest boards for the nursery and making things like sensory play items for the babies when they are old enough. Otherwise netflix, and family game night have been things to look forward too. My husband and son will sit on the bed with me and we play candy land or my husband and I will play monopoly. Just some little things like that really do help pass the time! But before you know it you they will be here!

  • Welcome and congratulations!! Oh man sorry about all of that bed rest - I am 23 weeks and still mobile, and in complete denial that I could be on bed rest, I can't imagine that. Hang in there - I already have a long netflix must watch list and a book list for when the time comes!
