Boy Names

We're Team Green and find boy names to be really difficult (I've posted before). We have a short list but I'm not 100% sold on any of them. Thoughts? Suggestions? Our DD is Eliza Frances and if it's a girl she will be Hazel (MN TBD). We are set on the MN for a boy--Garland after my grandfather. As much as I love E names, I really don't want to repeat initials, so at this point E names are off the table. Finally, our last name starts with a P and ends with -er. Oh--and DH is very against anything that is too common and traditional (Luke will likely be cut because of this). He has a very common name and hates it. Thanks for your thoughts!

The only name from your list I like, and I LOVE it, is Reid.

Also, not related- but your DD is freakin adorable!

I hardly ever hear Tyson, but I like it, especially with the nn Ty.

I like Reid and Blake. I don't like Rhett as much but I do think it sounds nice in a sib set with Eliza.

Reid! But I'm biased. I like Luke with Eliza too. Blake and Tyson do not go well and Rhett is cute on a baby and an older man. It's tough from 12-55

From your list I like Luke the best. Reid and Blake would be first, but Luke goes much better with your daughter's name (which I love). I know you said Luke might be off the table, but I love it with your DD's name.

I love the name Reid but it doesn't pair well with Garland. Reid Garland... Like a garland made of reeds....it's an actual thing.

I LOVE Eliza and Hazel, but I am not as big of a fan of your boys name. My favorite is Luke.

I really like them all except for Tyson. We lived in Arkansas for a bit and all I think of is chicken when I hear Tyson. My favorites are Blake and Rhett, with a slight edge to Rhett thanks to GWTW and a positive personal association.

Thanks everyone! I think Blake is really my favorite on its own, but I'm not sure I love the two hard consonants in a row as it runs into Garland. We also have a K in our last name and that flow is OK, but not ideal. I adore Rhett when I look at it, but I'm not quite sold on how it sounds when I say it (if that makes sense). I think it's our front runner, though, and I do love it with Eliza. I originally thought Everett, NN Rhett, but I really don't want two "E" names. I appreciate the input!
