I need iphone help

I had an itouch then I had an iphone and now I have a new iphone.  My music has always moved over via itunes but it's not this time.  Only the things I've purchased from itunes are coming over on the cloud.  I still have the old iphone and I've got music open and see tons of stuff that I've uploaded over the years from CDs.  Why can't I find any of this in my itunes library and how the hell do I get it on the new phone?  God, I feel like my mother.  I can't figure out this new fangled technology *shakes fist*

It should have transferred over. This would be when I'd hand it over to DH to fix and then he'd bitch about Apple, but somehow make it work.

So music got deleted from iTunes? Only purchased things go over iCloud unfortunately....otherwise you have to plug in iPhones/iPods. If you don't have music in iTunes that you have on your old phone/iPod then you have to transfer it from the device to your computer, which is a process that changes depending on if you have a Mac or a PC.

Do you have a new phone with iOS7...? I've heard a lot of people are having trouble with their music library being erased.

Yeah I have the new iphone so it has iOS7.  All my music used to always be in my itunes library when I would log in to itunes.  Now when I log in, only the purchased stuff is showing.  Unfortunately, I don't have the music files on this laptop anymore because I assumed that once they were imported into itunes, they'd always be there.  WTF did they go?
