advice on fever needed

Dd has a fever that keeps coming back/barely going away. It started yesterday around 2pm. Ive been alternating between Tylenol and ibuprofen but it doesn't last long. She has also been really tired and wanting to move around and just sits or lays wherever I put her and cries. I called the nurse line last night she said basically call get doctor in the morning if she still has a fever of 102.

Her temperature was normal during the motn after I gave her Tylenol. It went back up to 101. Then later it was 102.7.

I'm not sure what's wrong. Should I call the nurse line again since the office is closed or wait until morning to call her dr.?

I have no clue what it could be. Thanks ladies

Has she had roseolla yet? L had it before. It started out with a fever that was its worse at night. At the height of it, it went up to 103.7. It responded to Advil and wasn't as bad during the day. She was miserable at night, though. The fever lasted about 4 days and then the rash showed up and lasted about 2 or 3 days. 

Obviously, I'm not sure if that's what it is and go to your doc if it goes up high, but it does sound similar to what Linden had. It's extremely common and not really dangerous at all. 

I hope she feels better soon!

I would call the DR in the morning if her fever is still high. Have you tried a tepid bath yet? The few times L has had a high fever like that a bath is what ultimately broke it. Worth a shot.

@jbbeans she has not had rosella and I haven't noticed any rashes.

Her fever finally broke last night but she was up from 8 to about 1 and just did not want to go to sleep. She was clearly tied and falling asleep when I rocked but as soon as I put her down she wrote up crying. 

Now today she's fine but is not eating as much as she usually does and gets really sleepy/clingy.

Eta: all she wants to do is nurse instead of eating real food. Is this just her getting over her fever or another symptom for something else?

Could it be an ear infection? My LO doesn't like to lay down and is very clingy when she has an ear infection. It could also be teething? If tonight is just as bad, I would be inclined to have her ears checked.
