Beginner Preggo here

I'm just about through with my first trimester and wanting to re-enter the world (assuming the 2nd trimester lives up to the hype) and meet other expectant moms. Within Denver, what communities, prenatal yoga classes, groups have you found to be welcoming and full of fun and not perfect people?

Re: Beginner Preggo here

  • Wish I was closer to Denver.  I have no ideas for you.  The majority of my pregnancy I was not local and we moved the last trimester and it was so stinking hot I stayed inside most of the time.  I spent a lot of time in the rec center pool though.  Maybe try some prenatal yoga at your local rec center?

  • Congrats pbeans!

I don't know much about within Denver, but if you're near Westminster or willing to make the drive, they have a really good prenatal yoga class there that I went to every week. It's at their rec center on Tuesday evenings. If you want more information, let me know.

  • Thanks! I wish there was an idiot's guide to meeting other pregnant people in your city. Will just keep researching but thanks for your responses!
  • If you find anything, please share.  I will hopefully be in a 2nd tri eventually and I'll need to meet some moms to be.  I'm new to Denver (moved in April) and WFH, so it's hard to meet new people.

  • Check out MeetUp.com. I was just on there this week and found some great first-time-mom groups that I joined in my area. I live in Highlands Ranch, and am pregnant with my first, due in February.

    Here's one group I joined:
  • My regular yoga teacher told me to check out mama'hood in the highlands-several different kinds of prenatal yoga and a few different support groups. Might be a good place to start. I'll be checking it out once I can get through a whole day without passing out at my desk. :)
  • Where in Denver are you?  I have been meaning to check out Mother'Hood, but have not had a chance yet.  I have heard great things from friends who have gone there.  I have also joined the Highlands Mommy group.  I have not done a meet up yet, but everyone seems friendly and you get the inside scoop on everything going on in the Highlands.  I have done a prenatal Pilates class at Firehaus Pilates. I am planning on checking out the prenatal yoga class at Core Power Yoga on 32nd.
