Very accurate about NYS but I've never been to CT. however, my parents lived there for a stint before i was born so perhaps that has something to do with it.
And there are places with a drive thru liquor store!?! I should have found one of these places BEFORE I got pregnant! Lol!
My top cities were WI and MI. I have never lived in any of those states. I've lived in ND my whole life. But it's the Midwest, so I guess that is somewhat close.

On point!!! I have lived in south jersey my whole life and sure enough philadelphia was my main city and it's closest to me. Didn't realize how different we all are in the things we say. Wow!
This is a weird one... #1 makes sense since I grew up in the DC suburbs, but I have no idea where TX and OK came from.... my mom is from PA/MD and my dad has always lived on the East Coast... only thing I can think of is that DH has family in TX so maybe I've picked up some of his dialect??
I'm from St. Louis, so obviously St. Louis and Springfield make sense for me. Not so much for Louisiana and Mississippi. I guess it's that southern twang coming up the river. ;-)

Omg this is almost dead on!!! I was born and raised in Baton Rouge but now live a little closer to Lafayette! So crazy! And just to let y'all know...we totally have drive through liquor stores but they mainly serve daiquiris so we just call them drive through daiquiri shops! Totally awesome by the way. Not dangerous I mean it's just convenient. You can only get a DWI if there is a straw in your daiquiri but you are good otherwise!

Holy cow that's the funniest thing all day. What if you're drinking it without a straw?
This was so much fun! My first match was Joliet, Illinois (near Chicago) which was no where close. But the second one was Springfield, Illinois and I lived about thirty minutes outside of it for most of my life Thanks for posting!
So fun! So I have never lived in any of the cities close to me, BUT my dad was air force. So I grew up with a lot of different people from all over too. We were in Japan 3 years, Illinois 9 years, Arkansas 3 years, & then we moved to Wisconsin. Here are my top 5:

So I was feeling adventurous and took the long 140 question version. A bit more accurate, I think than the shorter test. Growing up in the DC area, we often get told we have a "media accent" which is basically no real distinguishable accent/dialect. so I found it interesting that I got DC area and CO cities (I've always been interested in living in CO! It's a sign!)
I was curious to see what this quiz would say about me considering I'm from AZ, lived in MD, grew up in the south for the most part, my best friends and half of my family are from Michigan. But I got closest to AZ and Mississippi. Hm. Fun quiz!

This was fun and very accurate! I grew up in CT and have lived right near Boston for 13 years.
I should add that neither state has drive through liquor stores. danged puritans!

I was expecting more of the northeastern states to be represented, especially since NY and PA were the reddest places on the map.

Kind of weird that I don't have any Colorado cities since I've lived here my whole life. Maybe I'll try the long one sometime.
