I have never met one irl even remotely. I asbolutely love it and would be top contender for us if we had another dd but unfortuntely don't love the flow with our ln
It just comes up here a lot. It's a nice one-syllable name that works well as a MN, so I think that's why it's suggested so frequently. I love it! I wish it didn't sound so dumb with our LN.
It's not popular. I think a lot of posts here inspire other posters-- which IMO is a great thing.
I agree. I have to keep this in mind sometimes. The "popular" names on this board do not necessarily reflect what is considered popular in real life, or in certain areas.
It's not at all popular in my area or on the SSA list but I do see it on this board a lot and I really like it! I know of one person who recently used it as a mn for her little girl and they live in Maine. Other than that, I have never heard it used in real life.
Our friends have a 4 year old named Wren. Also, the name Asher is super popular in my world.. From east coast to west coast, in the last 5 years, several of my friends have named their boys Asher.
Re: Wren?
Well, I'll put it this way.
I just did a search on the SSA site to see where Wren ranks (I entered 50 years), I got this message.
Wren is not in the top 1000 names for any year of birth in the last 50 years.
