Is that stuff safe? Someone gave me some but I thought it wasn't safe for some reason. Just curious.

I've used it a few times.  It only worked for about five minutes so I don't use it a lot.  If it offered DS more relief, I'd use it more.  I think it was recalled a few years ago so some people are nervous about it but I think its okay now.

I was told not to use it as it numbs the gag reflexes so if your LO starts to choke, he or she can't cough it out.

Thanks for the link. I thought there was a reason but I couldn't remember if it was legit or just one of those things you hear that have no basis for it. I will pass it along to my sitters to make sure they don't use any on ds.

We bought the Natural Baby Oragel (the green tube) bc it doesn't contain Benzocaine, which is what most people argue is unsafe.
