WTF- measurements on Ameda bottles

WTF! One bottle shows 1 oz, the other 2. When I put them together they make less than 3. Am I crazy or is this a WTF?

Lol. The same thing happened to me last night.

Lol. I used to see the same thing on the Madela bottles back when I pumped. I attributed it to all the excess that was left on the bottle after transfer. I did discover from bottle to bottle and brand to brand it seems like the measurements can be off a bit. That's why when someone is hung up on a half oz more or less in a feeding I just disregard. Seems like all we can go on is appx numbers.

^^ This, plus I think they are low.  Try pouring it into a different non-BM bottle brand (I used Born Free).  It will blow your mind!

My ameda is purple and all the measurements have already come off from washing. How'd you get yours to stay? I'm jealous, I just guess now!

Definitely.  I don't know if it's something about Born Free - but I need to have 4oz in my Hygeia bottles that came with my pump to make up 3oz in the Born Free bottles.  So I don't know if I should say LO eats 4oz or 3oz bottles ... because at that point I feel like it does matter a little!

I have some of the purple bottles and I haven't had any issues with the markings coming off.

This happened to my purple bottles too! I think those are the ones that came with the pump, the green bottles have stayed alittle better but they're starting to fade too

My purple bottles have almost totally faded off. The green ones are the bottles that came with the Cool n Carry system.
