First Appt Today!

...and it feels like Christmas. I feel like I've been waiting forever... and it's only been a little over 2 weeks! (I know a lot of you have to wait way longer!!) Secretly hoping they do an U/S even though the "rational" part of my brain knows it isn't very likely! Hoping this day flies by! Anyone else have an appointment today?

Yeah for you! My first appointment is a week from today! - According to LMP - I'll be 7 weeks, 5 days, but I think it's closer to 6 weeks, 5 days. I hope you get an u/s - peace of mind Good luck and make sure to update.

Did anyone's husband/partner go with them to the first appt? I think my husband would like to go & I'm all about us sharing the experience, just didnt know if most go on the first appt or wait a bit further for when things become more developed? This is my first so I'm a little clueless on etiquette I'm guessing we'll be easily spotted as the excited & anxious newbies at the dr office!

Good point on the family history, I hadn't thought about that. I want him there for the first u/s too. My appt isn't until Oct 7th - which seems like forever!!! Enjoy 2:20!! Best of luck!

Good luck!  I don't go for my first appointment til the 18th. I am anxious but not horribly so.  This is my second pregnancy so I don't feel as neurotic about things this time around.

My husband is coming- i'm luring him under the guise of family history, but the office suggested he come. plus I want him there just in case we get to see anything!!

Everything was good! We saw the sac, and maybe the fetal pole. My doctor warned me 23948 times that we wouldn't see anything and not to freak out, so I'm really not freaking out. We go back in 2 weeks to see the heartbeat!

I'm 8 weeks & 3 days and I had my first appointment  yesterday!  My husband was supposed to come with, but my doc wanted me to move up the appointment at the last minute b/c I had some spotting & cramping. It turned out both were no big deal - baby is fine - I could totally see the baby in the u/s and the flicker of the little heart beat. HR 183.   It was amazing!   They did ask a ton of family history and medical questions, and I do wish my hubby had been there  - to make that easier and b/c it was really special.  Oh yeah, and they took pee, blood and gave me a flu shot.  I didn't care- I was on cloud 9.  Good luck to all you guys at your appointments!!
