Which do you prefer? I have two Mei Tai's, a baby hawk and a kozy, but I'm thinking of selling them and buying an Ergo. Not sure what I should do. I also have a Bali Breeze Wrap that I love, but want something that is easier to put on.
I'm the opposite of @Emerald27. I have both and prefer the Babyhawk because I feel like it's faster to get on!
I also like the fact the mai tei is cooler (less fabric) than the Ergo and personally I find it easier to do a back carry on my own because I can throw the straps over my shoulder instead of trying to hold the kid with one hand and get my arms through the Ergo straps.
But it's obviously a personal decision - everyone's going to feel differently about it.
If I had answered this 4 months ago - I would have said ergo HANDS DOWN - but as LO grew and we shifted how we carry her - it became almost impossible to get comfortable with it. I made my own mei tai (cheaper was the only reason I woul dhave gotten a baby hawk) - and I LOVE it - so many options - so much easier to adjust - I made mine with a bigger taller body and she just sits better in it. I will say - out in the NW fall I have to be really careful with the straps (why did I make them white??) but still - love it.
I like both. The mei tai has a little bag it shoves into that I really like for traveling and it breathes a little better since DS still uses the newborn insert. I like the Ergo, though, because it is easier for me to put on when I'm alone.

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.
We have had many SSCs in this house. a Beco, Ergo, Lillebaby, & Yula. With the latter 2 currently in residence. If I could only have 1 it would be the lillebaby hands down, no contest!

Maybe sell one and get an Ergo so you have both? You can get this one for $57.50: https://www.albeebaby.com/ergo-baby-sport-carrier-red.html
