And she's out of the crib!!!

Apparently my 17 month old is over being in her crib and jump right on out in seconds of my putting her there.! I bought a toddler bed as a solution of which she has no interest in. Along with that we have child locks on her door so she will not get out during the night and get hurt (we are on the 1st floor). I found her today during nap laying on the floor by the door sleeping, I feel terrible but worry about her safety too. Any other suggestions

Don't feel bad this is how they learn this is how we plan to approach it too: childproof room, close (child proof) doors, put LO in bed. Hopefully after a few nights on the floor LO learns the bed is more comfortable. LO just exploring the new found freedom.
