My husband and I decided to stay off birth control and start trying for a little one! Any advice for me would be greatly appreciated. I am ready to be a mom!
Lurk for a while, read the newbie blog pinned to the top of the board under the "new to TTGP? Click here first!" post. Get a fertilityfriend.com account. Good luck!

Thank you. I just downloaded the app. Does anyone have any issues or advice for getting off birth control?
I remember that I had this same question when I stopped taking the pill. It's best to get off birth control when your withdrawal bleeding is scheduled to start (like when its time to take your first placebo pill) instead of just stopping randomly in the middle of your pill pack. Stock up on some prenatal vitamins - take them daily, and get a good basal body thermometer. Expect random spotting through your cycles, expect to be moody, expect your face to explode with gross 15-year-old-boy acne, expect for your boobies to shrink, expect to have lots of extra stuff going on down south. Shit gets weird. And by 'shit', I don't literally mean shit. Have fun!
