Boy names that end in -on

My husband seems to be dead set on names that end in -on (more specifically, -son/-ston/-ton).  He likes Lincoln, Washington, Weston, Clarkston.  I'm not sold on ANY of them.  He thinks the nicknames Linc, Wash, or Clark would be great (Clark is the only one I'd tolerate, even though I do like a TV character by the name of Wash).

Names that are more my style are Emmett, Conor, Grant, and Oliver.  The only one of those he has flat out said no to is Oliver; however, having a one syllable last name, he'd rather use Grant as a middle name, and it's likely we will.  DS1's middle name is after one of DH's grandpas, we'd like to honor one of mine and I'd prefer Grant.  We do both like Emmett Grant, or Conor (no official middle name, it was going to be Patrick when we considered it for DS1, but we decided not to go for Patrick as a MN now).
