My BIL irritates me

I used to think he was a nice guy, but lately any time I'm around him he does or says something that irritates the shit out of me.  Yesterday I was at SIL/BIL's house for my nephew's 1 year old birthday party.  I was holding Oliver up to see the snacks and he said "no" to everything.  My BIL then proceeds to tell me that it's my fault Oliver is picky.  I said, "It's my fault?"  He replied, "Yeah, because you make him different food when he won't eat what you're having.  He would eventually eat when he gets hungry."  What??  I just kinda moved away after that, but seriously?  I have no idea where he even got these ideas from.  He's not typically at my house, like ever.  Also, I put whatever we are eating on Oliver's plate and he eats what he wants and leaves what he doesn't want.  Am I supposed to force feed him things he doesn't want to try??  Please tell me oh wise BIL!!!!

No, he has 2 kids from a previous marriage.  A 20 something year old and a 12 year old.

Huh. I got nothin then. I thought maybe when he has a toddler he'd understand, but apparently his children are perfect...

Of course, I have been raising children for 15 years now myself.  And one of the twins is picky and the other one is not.  So, do I get credit for the not picky kid too or just the picky ones?  LMK

Yeah.  I know, right?  I don't know how his other 2 kids were when they were little, but they haven't found anything that the 1 year old won't eat yet.

OK, I went to the mall at lunch and saw this sign.  It is so fitting.  Should I buy it for BIL for Christmas??  haha

You could always give it to him first as a gag, then give him his "real" gift afterwards. Only you have to know the sign was his real gift!!

Yeah, that's an idea!  The adults exchange names, hopefully I'll get his name.  If not, I can still give him a "special" extra gift, right??
